It's a war down in here in the short sale trenches!

This one made no sense at all.  We had a short sale approval with an expiration date of 11/22/10 and a trustees sale date of 11/29/2010.  The buyers loan doc's came in and we were ready to fund the loan on 11/24/2010.  The bank gave us an extension on the short sale until 11/24/2010 and stated we had to have their funds to them by end of business on 11/24.  With the thanksgiving Holiday and the title company being closed on 11/25-11/26 we weren't going to be able to get the funds wired until 11/29.  GMAC would not allow us an extra day to get the funds wired and foreclosed on the property this morning.

You have to wonder why they would incur all the extra costs when we just needed one more day????? 

On a more positive note:

We closed this one in about 2 months with Wachovia who is great to work with.
